A place to relax, take your time, get up late, explore the many delights of Marlborough .
Lime
Tree Cottage is a modern, self catering cottage for one or two couples,
or a family, set in a quiet working olive grove on the banks of
beautiful Spring Creek, in Rapaura, heart of the wine country. Feijoas
are also grown on the property.
Vineyards surround the tree lined property, which is home to native
Tuis and Pukekos, and numerous ducks in the stream.

The
Rooms
There
are two warm bedrooms, both with bifold windows allowing you to
be outside while inside on warm days. The Blue Room has a hand made
silver beech double bed, while the Green Room at the other end has
a Queen size bed, a sofa and a window seat. A folding single bed
is available for an extra person.
Amenities
There
is a modern shower and toilet, shared between the rooms and a kitchen/dining
room with fridge/freezer, electric range and microwave oven, and
a large rimu table with seating for 6. There is also an outside
table on the sunny patio, where you can eat or have a quiet drink.
A television set ( 3 channels) is provided, but no telephone. All
major cellphone networks are accessible. A Gas BBQ, and an automatic washing machine are available for our guests.
Catering
The cottage is self catering, but if you are arriving late we will,
on request, supply breakfast materials for your first morning, as
well as tea/coffee/milk etc. Springlands or Spring Creek supermarkets
are 5 minutes drive.
Animals
While
we have a no animals policy, you are sure to be visited by Stella
our black Labrador, and Jimmy our Jack Russell, and probably by
our sociable boy cat Brian. There is also a host of wildlife
in the creek, and some brown trout.

To do
 Lime
Tree Cottage is within a few minutes drive of dozens of wineries,
many with restaurants.
Four golf courses ( two 18-holes), are within 15 minutes, and Blenheim
is 10 minutes. Blenheim has many cafes and fine restaurants, art
galleries, squash courts, heated indoor pool etc, and good shopping.
Picton, gateway to the Marlborough Sounds is 20 minutes, and Havelock
25 minutes. The Nelson Lakes are 1hour to the west, and the Wairau
River, a fine fishing river, is 3 minutes.
The owners are outdoors people who enjoy the company of others.
Ally is a Biology teacher, Pete is a veterinarian.
Tariff
Tariff is $130 per night for the first room or couple, and $30 per
extra person. If staying 4 nights or more a discounted rate is available
Payment
can be by cash, or cheque. A deposit is required when
booking.
 How
to Find Us
From
Blenheim: Drive North on State Hwy One to Spring Creek Township(
5 minutes). Turn left at the hotel, travel about 3km, O'Dwyer's
Rd on left (2nd left turn from Spring Creek). 400meters on O'Dwyer's
cross small bridge, turn immediately right at wine barrel letter
box.
From
Picton: Drive south to Spring Creek (15 mins). Turn right at hotel
and follow above instructions.
